Iran to hold presidential elections in mid-June

Iran's Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar announced that presidential elections in the Islamic Republic will be held on June 14, 2013, Press TV reported.

 

The president of Iran is elected for a four-year term in a national election and candidates for the presidency must be approved by the Guardian Council. This will be Iran's 11th presidential election. (Ynet)
