Judges slams police officer for use of taser gun
The Petah Tikva Magistrate's court criticized a local police officer who used his taser gun (an electroshock weapon) multiple times on a detainee who was bound at the time. The man, suspected of being a petty cell phone thief, had pushed the police officer while being transported from Tel Aviv to Petah Tikva.
The judge said that in this case there was no justification for the use of a taser gun, and certainly not multiple times. (Raanan Ben-Zur)
