Zoabi: Disqualification illegitimate, undemocratic
MK Hanin Zoabi (Balad) commented on being disqualified from running to the 19th Knesset, saying "This decision is marred by illegitimacy and the trampling of basic democratic rights."
According to Zoabi, the committee members "Blatantly dismissed the attorney general's professional opinion, which stated there were no legal grounds for disqualification." (Hassan Shaalan)
