French FM calls settlement-building a provocation

The French Foreign Ministry has stated that the continued building of settlements is illegal and called it a "provocation."

French Foreign Ministry spokesman Philippe Lalliot said that building settlements thwarts the necessary trust needed to renew the negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians and that the question asked is whether Israel is indeed dedicated to a two-state solution. (AFP)
