Survey: 62% of Palestinians for negotiations with Israel

A survey conducted by the Jerusalem Media and Communications Center found that 62% of Palestinians believe that negotiations with Israel should be held in order to put an end to the conflict. Also, 75% believe that the United Nations bid was justified and 51% believe that the military response against Israel should be intensified.

 

If presidential elections would be held in the Palestinian Authority, 43% said they would for vote for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and 29% said they would vote for Hamas prime minister in Gaza Ismail Haniyeh. Approximately 1,200 Palestinians participated in the survey. (AFP)
