Russia: 88 die from cold; minus 30 degrees in Moscow

The death toll in Russia's frozen winter has risen to 88, with eight people perishing over the past 24 hours. An addition 538 people have been hospitalized as a result of the cold, which reached minus 30 degrees in the Moscow area.

 

The country's recent cold bout has lasted 10 days. (AFP)
