Finance Committee: Lateral budget cuts in 2012
The Knesset's Finance Committee has authorized a lateral budget cut for the 2012 budgetary year by a vote of nine to one in favor. The cut is estimated at NIS 741 million (roughly $198 million) and is needed to cover activities which were not originally budgeted. The authorization was undertaken in accordance with a government decision from last July. (Zvi Lavi)
