Amhedinejad dismisses his health minister
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad fired his Health Minister Marziyeh Vahid Dastjerdi a half a year prior to his term's end.

Dastjerdi was appointed to the position in 2009 after Ahmedinejad was elected for his second term and was the first woman to serve as a minister since the 1979 Islamic Revolution. It is estimated that her dismissal comes in light of her criticism of the president's health-related polices over the past months. (Dudi Cohen)
