France says Assad cannot partake in political transition

The French Foreign Ministry announced that Syrian President Bashar Assad, who is responsible for the death of 45,000 people, cannot partake in the country's political transition process.
Earlier, international envoy Al-Akhdar al-Ibrahimi called for a transient government in Syria ahead of the 2014 presidential elections. (AFP)
