Likud MKs back annexation of West Bank territories
While Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says that he stands by his Bar Ilan speech, several Likud officials have said that they support the annexation of West Bank territories. Knesset members Zeev Elkin, Yariv Levin and Yuli Edelstein made statements to that effect during a conference organized by the Women in Green movement.
Each politician offered his own take on how to implement the annexation. Moshe Feiglin, another Likud candidate, blasted Edelstein for mentioning the Palestinians in his speech. "We must eliminate this word, Palestinians, from the lexicon," he said. (Itamar Fleishman)
