Settlers, officers clash near Esh Kodesh outpost

Settlers continue efforts to prevent Palestinians from plowing disputed field but are removed from site by security forces

Settlers and security forces at the Esh Kodesh outpost continued to clash on Wednesday. The settlers are trying to prevent the plowing of what they claim is a dispute field.

On Tuesday, four settlers were arrested in the area. One claimed he had been beaten by Border Guard officer and filed a complaint with the police investigations unit.
Clashes in Esh Kodesh 
On Wednesday, officers prevented settlers from reaching the tractors plowing the field. Earlier, another disputed field was set on fire. Meanwhile, security forces are clashing with Palestinians who are hurling stones at them.
On Tuesday, security forces allowed Palestinians to plow a field adjacent to the outpost. The settlers claim they own the land.
The IDF stressed that the decision was in line with a High Court ruling and that plowing will continue in the coming days.
Meanwhile in the village of Qusra, dozens of Palestinians pelted security forces with stones. The forces responded with crowd dispersal means.
