Chief rabbis demand EU examine extent of anti-Semitism

Chief Rabbi of Israel Yona Metzger and Chief Sephardic Rabbi Shlomo Amar demanded the EU form a committee to examine the extent of anti-Semitism in the continent and present solutions for the problem.

In a letter addressed to EU President Herman Van Rompuy, the rabbis claimed that since the Ozar Hatorah school massacre in France, there has been a rise in the extent of the phenomena. The demand followed the assault of a young Jewish man Tuesday in Venice, Italy. (Kobi Nahshoni)
