Some 200 Palestinians have been erecting an outpost called "Bab el Shams" since early Friday morning in the E1 area, close to Ma'aleh Adumim.
According to the organizers, the outpost, initiated by the Popular Committees, is meant to stress the Palestinians' right to "build on their land" and keep it from Israeli settlers. (Elior Levy)
