State to High Court: Postponing eviction will lead to riots
The state has requested that the High Court authorize the immediate evacuation of the Palestinian outpost of Bab al-Shams in E1 area in the West Bank, fearing failure to do so will lead to riots in the area.
Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein claimed that a majority of the tents were erected on state-owned land and are hence illegal. Moreover, he stated that the outpost was provocatively set up with the intention of "inciting riots" that could have national and international implications. (Aviel Magnezi)
