Committee: Musical performances for Meretz, Labor violate election law
Central Election Committee Chairman Justice Elyakim Rubinstein has ruled that musical performances that took place in campaign rallies held by Labor and Meretz respectively are a violation of the Election Law. Rubinstein passed his decision on to Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein, who will examine the criminal ramifications of the violation.
The petition questioning the legality of the performances was filed by the Likud-Beiteinu party after Rubinstien ruled against the party regarding a performance by singer Sarit Hadad. (Telem Yahav)
