Likud-Beiteinu, Hatnua and Kadima campaign ads banned

Published: 01.14.13, 20:08 / Israel News

The Central Election Committee has decided to disqualify several campaign TV ads put together by the Likud-Beiteinu, Hatnua and Kadima because they illegally featured IDF soldiers.

Judge Elyakim Rubinstein, who heads the commission, ordered the parties to eliminate the parts that feature troops from the ads, which were to air on Monday. Election laws prohibit making use of soldiers in a way that may represent the army as belonging to a political body. (Telem Yahav)
