Yesh Atid Party Chairman Yair Lapid said that he will not be a minister without a portfolio "under any circumstances and no conditions." Lapid said: "The role described as 'a minister without a portfolio' is a symbol of moral and social turpitude. This phenomenon is making government ineffectual and wasteful."
Lapid called on party leaders to sign a commitment to abstain from appointing ministers without portfolios and added: "Those who do not sign are publicly supporting political corruption and the public should settle the score with them." (Shiri Hadar)
