Knesset members Aryeh Eldad and Michael Ben-Ari, who head the far-right Otzma LeYisrael party, scoffed at the government's decision to release two tenders for the construction of new housing units beyond the Green Line less than a week before the elections.
"Netanyahu is trying to steal the settlers' votes ahead of the elections," the party said. "Too bad elections aren't held twice a week. If Netanyahu would have built (settler homes) over the past four years to the same extent as he is now promising t build, there wouldn't be a housing problem in the State of Israel." (Akiva Novick)
