Hundreds of Labor supporters took part in an election rally Thursday, as party chairwoman Shelly Yachimovich
reiterated her pledge not to join a Benjamin Netanyahu-led
"All the rest of the parties have locked a place for themselves in the government, as if it was already chosen," the Labor
chair said. "We'll either be in charge of forming the government – or we will be the leaders of the opposition."
According to Yachimovich, the elections have yet to be determined, despite predictions that Prime Minister Netanyahu will be reelected. "Every citizen who will take a look at this amazing team versus the Likud-Beiteinu
team will not hesitate even for a moment and will realize that these are the best people around," she said.
"It's no accident that we've remained the only party that challenges Benjamin Netanyahu and wants to replace him. All the other parties have given up on the democratic fight to replace the government."

Yavhimovich also addressed the diplomatic stalemate and asserted that it will persist as long as Netanyahu is in power: "While we are stalemating, the Mideast is not – and things are just getting worse.
"We will show the Israeli public that there was no king anointed; a stern battle is ahead."
Referring to the rest of the parties running for the 19th Knesset, Yachimovich urged her audience: "Do not waste your votes on parties that have no chance of gaining any Knesset seats. Such votes will not only be a waste, but will also serve Netanyahu and Lieberman.
"Anyone who doesn’t vote for Labor, votes for Netanyahu, and that's the truth," the Labor chairwoman asserted.
