Election Committee: Ads can be screened at cinema
Central Election Committee Chairman Justice Elyakim Rubinstein has authorized parties to continue screening election ads in movie theaters. The decision came after a private citizen complained about the ads, saying "it is inconceivable that they will attempt to brain wash people who are trying to clear their minds from politics (at the movies)."

Justice Rubinstein nevertheless noted that it is high time to amend the election propaganda laws, which are outdated and fail to regulate online campaigning. This is not the first time he has spoken out about the issue. (Telem Yahav)
