Prof. Yosef Kaplan wins Israel Prize in Jewish history
Prof. Yosef Kaplan, the Bernard Cherrick Professor of the History of the Jewish People at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, will receive the Israel Prize this year for his work.


The prize is awarded to Prof. Kaplan for his input in the understanding of the key points forming the development of Jewish society and their long term implications. Education Minister Gideon Sa'ar backed the Israel Prize Committee's nomination and informed Prof. Kaplan of the decision. (Shahar Chai)
