Assad appears on Syrian TV
Syrian President Bashar Assad appeared on local television during a ceremony at a Damascus mosque marking the birthday of the prophet Muhammad.
This was the first time Assad appeared on Syrian television since he delivered a speech earlier this month in which he presented his outline for a resolution to the crisis in his country. (Roi Kais)
