Netanyahu calls Yachimovich, Livni, Mofaz

None

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Labor Chairwoman Shelly Yachimovich on Thursday and asked to meet with her to discuss the possibility that Labor would join the coalition. Yachimovich accepted the meeting but refused joining a government headed by Netanyahu, citing "unbridgeable ideological and political gaps" between the two parties.

The prime minister then proceeded to contact Hatnua Chairwoman Tzipi Livni and Kadima Chairman Shaul Mofaz. Netaynahu has already contacted Meretz Chairwoman Zehava Gal-On, who also rejected his offer. (Moran Azulay)
