Stanley Fischer: I have achieved my goals

In a press conference held by outgoing Governor of the Bank of Israel Stanley Fischer he said, "my goals have been reached, amongst them the passing of the Bank of Israel Law. It was important to maintain monetary stability for the good of the market and the population and we attained all of this throughout the past eight years.

I know that I am leaving the Bank of Israel, Israel's central bank, in good condition. The new corporate government system within this national institution is very strong. (Avital Lahav)
