Turkey: 2 killed in blast outside US embassy

Police said a suicide bomber detonated a bomb at the United States Embassy in the Turkish capital Ankara, killing two people.


According to Turkish media, the two killed are the embassy's security guards. An embassy female employee suffered severe injuries, another person was also wounded. The bomb appeared to have exploded inside the security checkpoint at the entrance of the embassy. A Reuters witness saw one wounded person being lifted into an ambulance as police cordoned off the area. (Ynet, News Agencies)
