Shas' Deri vows to prevent rift among Jewish people

Shas leader Aryeh Deri addressed the start of coalition talks with Likud-Beiteinu representatives on his Facebook page, saying that "we plan to make every effort to find a solution for the equal burden issue in a way that will prevent a rift among the Jewish people."

Deri added that "Shas plans to insist on merciful cuts in the state budget, which will reduce the damage caused to weak societies." (Akiva Novick)
