Coalition talks: Habayit Hayehudi demands Sunday as day off
As part of the coalition negotiations, the Habayit Hayehudi party is expected to demand government advancement of a proposal to turn Sunday into a day off and expand Friday to a shortened work-day.

The initiative was originally promoted by Minister Silvan Shalom with the aim of allowing the religious population to enjoy Israel's leisure culture, widely consumed on Saturday. The initiative is also aimed at easing women's integration into the work force by extending the school day. (Moran Azulay)
