Assad comments on attack: Israel trying to destabilize Syria
For the first time, Syrian President Bashar Assad has commented on the attack on the Syrian military complex Jamaraya, which foreign media ascribe to Israel.

"The Israeli aggression reveals the true role Israel plays in cooperating with foreign enemy forces  active on Syrian soild and interested in destabilizing and weakening the country," Assad said, adding that Syria was able to confront "current threats ...and aggression" against it. Syria's state news agency SANA said Assad made the remarks in a meeting with Saeed Jalili, Iran's national security council secretary. (Roi Kais and news agencies)
