A source within the Likud said that Attorney Yitzhak Molcho's departure from the Likud-Beiteinu's coalition negotiation team was puzzling. According to the source, it was strange that Molcho cited his role as Netanyahu's envoy to Palestinian negotiations when explaining his departure, as no such negotiations have taken place in the last four years. Moreover, he noted, Molcho's appointment had already been known for a week.
In response, the Likud said that a legal opinion by Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein barred Molcho from serving in both roles at the same time. (Yuval Karni)
