2 men implicated in 'Syrian escape' remanded
The Nazareth Magistrate's Court has remanded for an additional five days the two suspects who aided 23-year-old Tamra resident Mohamed Yassin, serving a 20-year sentence for murder, to escape Israel into Syria.
The two, who are the murderer's brothers, were arrested on Monday for allegedly aiding the murderer and another person to escape to Syria via the Golan Heights border. The two deny the allegations and claim that they were unaware of the prisoner's intention of fleeing. (Ahiya Raved)
