Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to meet with Naftali Bennett early next week for coalitions talks. The announcement comes after two and a half weeks of supposed snubbing of the Habayit Hayehudi chairman by the prime minister.
After completing two meetings with Yesh Atid Chairman Yair Lapid, Netanyahu decided to launch direct talks with Bennett in an attempt to negotiate his party's entrance into the coalition while still negotiating with Lapid. Netanyahu has previously stated he wants a wide coalition comprised of "Lapid, Bennett, the haredim and Mofaz." (Yuval Karni)
