Jerusalem Rabbinical Court chief suspected of fraud

Chaim Yehuda Rabinowitz, chief justice of the Jerusalem Rabbinical Court, has been investigated on suspicion of fraud and breach of trust.

A covert police investigation conducted over the past two years raised suspicions that the rabbi presided over divorce trials in which his relatives were involved. Following his interrogation, Rabinowitz was released to his home under restrictive conditions. (Eli Senyor)
