2 Malaysians charged with promoting terrorism

Malaysian prosecutors have charged an al-Qaida-linked former army captain and a woman with inciting terrorist acts that could have involved violence in Syria.

Yazid Sufaat, who previously spent seven years in detention without trial, and Halimah Hussein face up to 30 years in prison if convicted. (AP)
