Danny Ayalon: Israel should acknowledge Palestine as full UN member
Outgoing Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon addressed the expected visit of US President Barack Obama, saying: "I assume that at the moment plans are being made to arrange a meeting for Obama, Netanyahu, Abu Mazen and perhaps even Jordanian King Abdullah."
Regarding the Palestinian issue, Ayalon said Saturday: "Israel should acknowledge Palestine as a full member of the UN. Israel will give sovereignty and independence to Palestinians and in return they will recognize Israel as the nation state of the Jewish people." (Moran Azulay)
