Environment Ministry: IDF to be fined for asbestos in base

The Environmental Protection Ministry will fine the IDF for ignoring a state injunction ordering that asbestos be immediately cleared from a Beersheba base in which hundreds of soldiers serve.
According to the ministry, the IDF must pay the NIS 3,830,469 (roughly $1,034,000) fine within 30 days. (Yoav Zitun)
