Egypt: 2 tons of explosives captured in Sinai

Egyptian media outlets have reported that police forces have foiled a smuggling attempt of some two tons of explosive materials and weapons intended to cross into Sinai loaded onto a truck.
According to a senior security official, the police received detailed intelligence regarding the planned smuggling attempt, which he believes was aimed either at arming terrorists in Sinai or to be further smuggled into Gaza. (Roi Kais)
