Assad to stay in Damascus regardless of presidential outcome
The al-Quds al-Arabi newspaper reported that Syrian President Bashar Assad said in his meeting with the Jordanian delegation that visited Damascus that in 2014 he will run for president or leave politics and become a regular Syrian citizen. He also said that he will not make a decision before then.
"I will stay in Damascus regardless and continue my work in the clinic, even if I won't be president," Assad said. (Roi Kais)
