Transport Ministry to launch investigation of Egged bus lines
Transport Ministry Director General Uzi Yitzhaki ordered disciplinary measures against the Egged bus company, after one of its drivers did not stop an attack on a student who got on a bus last weekend and was verbally harassed by haredi passengers.
Yitzhaki rejected the findings of an Egged internal investigation, in which it was claimed that the driver did not know he was supposed to intervene in cases of harassment. Egged representatives are expected to be questioned on the incident. (Hillel Posek)
