Police to increase Jerusalem presence after Thursday protests
Jerusalem police will be increasing manpower in the area of the Temple Mount and in the east of the city, in an attempt to avoid public disturbances after Friday prayers – this in the backdrop of protests which broke out yesterday between Palestinians and Israeli security forces during demonstrations near the Bituniyeh crossing.
Yesterday, two Israeli journalists and several Palestinians were injured during the demonstrations showing solidarity with hunger striking Palestinians in Ofer Prison. (Noam Dvir)
