Truck driver convicted of negligent manslaughter of family
The Beersheba Traffic Court convicted Mohammed al-Gabor with negligent manslaughter of a family of five in a traffic accident three years ago near the Arava Junction. Al Gabor was driving a truck and swerved out of the lane, hitting the family's vehicle.
The judge noted that it is possible that al-Gabor, 26-year-old from Rahat, fell asleep on the wheel, and said that "he could have prevented the accident." (Ilana Curiel)
