US transfers $250M to Egypt in exchange for reforms

The Guardian reported that US Secretary of State John Kerry transferred $250 million to Egypt after Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi committed to conduct political and economic reforms in the country. Kerry added that the US will supervise the implementation of the reforms.
In addition, Kerry announced that he will allocate $60 million to a new fund supporting the democratization efforts in Egypt. (Ynet)
