Published: 03.04.13, 11:02 / Israel News

The Haifa Magistrate's Court sentenced 54-year-old Tamar Gabai from Kiryat Motzkin to six months of community service for posing as a social working and stealing money and jewelry from an 88-year-old Holocaust survivor. Her brother, David Asur, age 50 from Haifa, who broke into the woman's home afterwards and stole a large amount of jewelry, was sentenced to a 20-month imprisonment.

Gabai, who is being represented by Attorney Tami Ulman, admitted to the crimes in the framework of a plea bargain. Two more people involved in the case were sentenced in the past to 18 and four-month imprisonments. (Ahiye Raved)
