Assad on Chavez's death: Great loss for Syrian people

Syrian President Bashar Assad said that Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez's death is a "great loss for me and for the Syrian people."

Assad added that he sends his condolences to Chavez's stand-in, Nicolas Maduro. (AFP)
