UN Security Council demands immediate release of Syrian hostages

The UN Security Council condemned the kidnapping of 20 UN observers in Syria, and stated its demand for their immediate release.

In addition the council confirmed that the kidnappers belong to the Syrian opposition to President Bashar Assad. (AFP)
