Gal-On calls for urgent talks on racial violence
Meretz Chairwoman Zahava Gal-On turned to interim Knesset Speaker Binyamin Ben-Eliezer with a request to hold an urgent deliberation, in the present of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in light of the recent racially-motivated acts of violence.
"The silence on the part of Netanyahu, who does not find it right to condemn these harsh acts of violence gives legitimacy to the racial frenzy on the streets. We must determine the urgent steps needed to be taken in order to overcome the phenomenon," wrote Gal-On. (Omri Efraim)
