Hundreds of police raided the homes this morning of dozens of people suspected of involvement in property, weapons and drug crimes. The raids in the south of the country were part of a larger operation, coordinated by the District Commander, Major General Yoram Halevi.
This was the first phase of the operation, and it netted more than NIS 300,000 (about $81,000) in cash, five stolen cars, six guns and two rifles. Seventeen suspects were arrested. (Ilana Curiel)
