Tel Aviv Municipality: 'Dead runner ran during light heat'

The Tel Aviv Municipality commented on the death of a runner during today's marathon: "He started the race at 6 am and began receiving medical treatment at 8am. According to the meteorological service that means he ran during light heat."
In regards to the event itself, "The Municipality acted in accordance with Health Ministry directives and in cooperation with Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, both of which recommended canceling the full marathon but going through with the half race, exactly as we did." (Gilad Morag)
