Yesh Atid Chairman Yair Lapid addressed his appointment as finance minister on his Facebook page, saying: "Give me credit, or at least assume that I knew the risks involved in the matter."
According to Lapid, "If we fail to get Israel's economy out of the mud, Netanyahu will suffer as much as I will. The need to work together is an interest we both share." (Ynet)
