TA: Full marathon cancelled due to tragedy

The Tel Aviv Municipality and the city's marathon organizers decided to cancel the full marathon planned for this Friday after it was postponed this week due to the tragedy that occurred last weekend.
The Health Ministry recommended to cancel the run in light of the heat, this past weekend as well. On Friday, Sergeant Major Michael Michaelvich, age 29, died and 80 other runners were injured, amongst them 12 severely. The incidents led the Health Ministry to establish a committee on Israeli sporting events. (Liat Rotem Melamed)
