Erdogan: My statement about Zionism was misinterpreted
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that his statement that Zionism is a crime against humanity was misinterpreted. In an interview to the Danish newspaper Politiken he said his statement was pointed at Israel's policy on Gaza and the settlements.
Erdogan's statement about a month ago was: "Just like Zionism, anti-Semitism and fascism, it becomes unavoidable that Islamophobia must be regarded as a crime against humanity." (AFP)
